🏡 Architecture & Art of Tadmal (ताडमाळ)

Built with earth, memory, and recycled heritage.

Tadmal’s architecture is not modern.
It is meaningful.

The cottages, dining area, and structures are built using:

⭐ Chira Stone (Laterite)

A traditional Konkan stone that keeps rooms cool, earthy, and breathable.
It blends with the land naturally and supports local stone artisans.

⭐ 90% Recycled Wood

This is Tadmal’s signature.

We used:

  • wood from demolished village homes
  • wood from retired ships
  • old door & window frames
  • reclaimed beams
  • antique planks

This wood carries history —
decades of life, stories, energy.

Every piece of furniture was handcrafted on-site by skilled local carpenters.
No factory-made furniture.
No plastic.
No steel-heavy interiors.

Just pure, warm, rustic texture.

⭐ Warli & Tribal Art

Walls across Tadmal feature:

  • Warli figures
  • nature motifs
  • tribal symbols
  • village scenes
  • animal illustrations

Painted by local artists, these artworks give voice to the land and its culture.

⭐ Natural Ventilation & Light

Tadmal avoids harsh artificial lights to protect wildlife.
Rooms breathe easily with natural air circulation.

⭐ Aesthetic That Tells a Story

Guests often say Tadmal feels:

  • nostalgic
  • grounding
  • warmly old-world
  • honest
  • handcrafted

Because it truly is.

Every brick, stone, and wooden piece has a past.
Together, they create a home that feels timeless.
